When we look to the cross, we are reminded that God is a God of Renewal. He’s always working, always restoring, constantly rebuilding from the brokenness of our lives. Isaiah 61 tells us that Jesus was sent to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives, and release them from the darkness. Do you believe that today? Instead of ashes, let Him “crown you with beauty, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” Isaiah 61:3
