During my prayer time this week, the Lord revealed to me that there are still places in my life that I am trying to control. He gave me this imagery of pulling a rope. While pulling the rope, it feels like I’m doing something – that I’m participating and have a say in what’s going on around me. But in all actuality, all I’m doing is pulling and becoming tired and holding onto the illusion of control.
But – as soon as I stop pulling, that allows the Lord to move. I’m trusting Him to work and move in my life. I’m giving Him control and relying on Him, not the rope.
I know we all feel the stress and the weight of the unknown, but we can’t worry about tomorrow. We must stop pulling and start praying, trusting in the Lord, and believing He is in control.

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8
