A road sign that says now leaving comfort zone

I love comfortable shoes. I love getting comfortable after a nine-hour day when all I want to do is put my feet up and relax. I also love comfortable situations in my own backyard when I know everyone, and everyone knows me. But I have to be careful. Sometimes it’s tempting to say no because I might get uncomfortable. What if there is a large crowd and people I don’t know. Maybe they’ll ask my questions to get to know me, and l’Il have to bring up something from my past. What about a mission trip? It’s so far away; maybe it’s not safe. Perhaps it would just be better if I stayed home.
It’s one thing to love getting comfortable, but it’s another to stay comfortable because of fear of the unknown. Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
We don’t have to be afraid. If we have faith that God is walking with us, even in our uncomfortable situations, He will give us the strength we need no matter where we are. Don’t listen to the lies of the enemy telling you to stay in your comfort zone. Be obedient and follow wherever the road leads.
