A woman walking down the street in front of trees.

I’ve lived in denial before. I refused to acknowledge that I was in a bad place in my life, that my spending habits weren’t healthy, that my words weren’t life-giving, and that I wasn’t living aligned with God’s Word. Each morning when I got up, I pretended that I was fine, that everything was fine, and I didn’t have the strength or the desire to make the needed changes. The problem with denial is that you can spend a lot of time camped there.

So, how do we move past denial to acceptance? We admit. We confess. We invite someone into our journey to help us take the next step and return to God’s path. We lay down our pride, and we choose God over everything else. If this is you today, say this prayer and invite Jesus in:
