So many times, our situation can appear a certain way, and our imagination takes over. We go down this trail of, “what-if,” and we try to gather all the pieces of evidence. But what is happening is that we have taken our eyes off Jesus and have laid down the sword of the Spirit. We need to remember that one of the devil’s biggest goals is to distract us from God’s Truth and who we are in Christ. Because “God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind” 2 Timothy 1:7.
Today, ask yourself what “evidence” you have been looking at that has appeared real. It’s time to switch our focus from the world to God’s Word.
