We often don’t think about our foundation in the typical day-to-day. Life is good when the sun shines, and the horizon is clear. But it’s when the storms come that it tests what we’ve built our life on and what is our foundation of truth. After Jesus had delivered His most crucial sermon on the mount, encouraging the thousands that it’s not just about the rules and regulations but the shape of their heart, he ended with these words: “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” ~ Matthew 7:24-27

Today, life is filled with storms and surges that will try and destroy us. Make sure your life is built on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ! He alone will carry us through.
