My Lord, how you suffered for me! You were spit on and mocked and beaten until You were barely recognizable. You were nailed to a cross by your hands and feet and wore a crown of thorns. And on top of all that, You bore the weight of the sin of mankind – past, present and future. You drank God’s cup of wrath so that we could be set free. There are no words that can express my gratefulness and love. But today, we remember…the cross.
