When we read this promise and imagine what it would look like, it can feel like this – that there is no way we can reach the lock on the door. Our situations seem overwhelming, and we’re unsure how we will do it in our own strength. But that’s because we’re forgetting who gives us the key. It’s in Jesus’ name that the chains of addiction break. It’s in Jesus’s name that the enemy flees. It’s in Jesus’ name that we are healed, restored, and set free. It’s nothing we can do on our own. Today, in Jesus’ name, let us loose the shackles of sin and the things of this world and bind ourselves to God’s Word. We have the key – and His name is JESUS!
