Joshua 1

When we look at Joshua 1 in the Old Testament, Moses has just died, and the people were besides themself. How were they supposed to move forward into the promised land? Nothing was the same anymore. Fear was everywhere. But Joshua said to them, “Keep this book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”As we stand in new territory, feeling as if the world is upside down, unsure of the road ahead, we need to reset our minds and trust in the LORD. We need to keep God’s Word always on our lips and in our hearts so that we know the way forward. We will not be afraid, for we know God is with us!
