How do we carry our cross, follow Jesus, and keep dragging around our pride? We can’t. When we look at Jesus’s life, He loved, served, and lived in humility and grace – humble before His Father and the world. He was willing to do anything His Father asked, not for His own glory – but for God’s. James 4:6 says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Where are we still struggling today because of pride? Are we willing to do whatever Father God asks, especially when it will grow us and further His Kingdom? May we live in humility, lay down our pride, and do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. May it all be for His Glory.
