Has there ever been a burning bush in your life? Something that made you want to take a closer look? One day, Moses was tending sheep and saw a burning bush that did not burn up. As he approached, God spoke to him. “When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, ‘Moses! Moses! And Moses said, ‘Here I am.’ ‘Do not come any closer,’ God said. ‘Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing is holy ground.'” – Exodus 3:4-5
God told Moses He had seen the misery of His people and was sending Moses to Pharoah to bring His people out of Egypt. Even though Moses could see the miraculous sign of the burning bush and hear that God had a plan and would be with him, Moses was reluctant to do what God asked. Today, remember that if God calls you to something, he will equip you for the task. No matter what it is.
