Have you ever played with or watched dominoes? I’ve seen some unique designs, and when you push that first one, they all come crashing down. This image reminds me of dominoes but also of the effect sin has on our lives. We can take great care in building our lives, but sin can destroy it all, including us. Jesus tells us in John 8:34, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.” And while the wages of sin is death, we can have a free gift from God: eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) But to do that, we must align our lives with Him and build our lives on His solid foundation of truth. And it can start – today!
