In Jeremiah 31:33, God speaks of the New Covenant that He would establish with His people – “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.” He is talking about the Holy Spirit – ushered in by Jesus Christ. John prophesied about this when baptizing in the desert. “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Matthew 3:11
If you are looking for truth today, we are promised a helper, a comforter that would abide with us forever. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes and lives in your heart – writing God’s Word on your heart as promised in the New Covenant. He will guide you and help you, and direct your steps.
