In scripture, several verses compare our hearts to a garden, and if we have receptive soil, we will bring forth good fruit thirty, some sixty, and some a hundredfold. Other verses compare it to a storage house, storing the Word like a treasure. But all discuss the necessity of guarding our hearts and keeping them pure and that it is the wellspring of life.
Today, the world can seem like a dry desert while we walk around thirsting for truth. But God’s Word is the answer, and our hearts can look like this: a beautiful garden, living and thriving, producing good fruit. What is the shape of your heart?
