The word fine was in my vocabulary for years. I could never let anyone know that I was struggling because then I would lose control. If I could keep my head above water, letting everyone think I had it all together, I would eventually be “fine,” and no one would be the wiser. But the reality is that we all have struggles. We all have pain. We all live in a fractured world. None of us is untouched by this life. When I stopped pretending, I allowed someone to come alongside me and pray for me; I was able to share and talk openly and glean new ways to work through my problems. But more importantly, I was vulnerable and open to let God in and work on me from the inside out.
I challenge you today to take courage and be vulnerable. If not to anyone else, admit to God that you need Him. You will be amazed at what He does!
