When I think about love, I think about how I have watched Jesus love me over the years. At the moment, in the thick of my despair, it was sometimes hard to see it. But when I look back over the hills and valleys I have climbed, the seashores I have traveled, I have seen where He’s walked with me, where He’s gone before me and prepared the way, and where He’s carried me. His love is never changing, always encouraging, ever hopeful, never conditional, and always truthful. He’s always listening, guiding, and teaching me to be more like Him. And His Word is always true: “I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” Isaiah 46:4
