It is May, which means it’s Mental Health Awareness Month. All month long, we will shine God’s light into our mental health and ensure it’s aligned with God’s Word.

If you are struggling today with depression, anxiousness, or racing thoughts – the first step is to tell someone. Shine God’s light into your situation. If you have a car, you take it in for a maintenance check when it has issues and it’s not running normally. It’s the same for us. We must ask ourselves, “Okay, what’s going on?” Why am I feeling this way? What’s happening right now?” And then admit:

I need prayer.

I need to evaluate

I need to lean into God.

Admitting is the first step. It’s not something to be ashamed of; the enemy’s first lie will be to tell you to keep it a secret and pretend you’re okay. Don’t believe his lies. God wants you to have abundant life!
