Do you have something or someone you run to when you’re having a bad day? Maybe it’s a friend you can call or text. Maybe it’s a food that has your name on it when you’re at the end of your rope. Or perhaps you go to the cupboard, get out a glass, and pour yourself a tall drink. At the end of the day, you have a text, an empty wrapper, and an empty glass. Do you feel better? Do you have what it takes to do two bad days in a row? Or three? What about a season of sorrow?
I love Proverbs 18:10 because it tells us where to turn. I’ve learned over my lifetime that God is safer than a friend, more fulfilling than food or drink, and has the strength for me to run to Him hour after hour, day after day, year after year. His love never ends, and I always know where to find Him. He is my strong tower. What about you?
