What do you see when you look in the mirror? Maybe it’s a failure as a husband or wife or a student in school. Perhaps you see someone who has been let down time and time again by people you trusted. Maybe you see someone out of work and out of time, or maybe…you no longer recognize the person looking back at you.
No matter the reason, you have run to this mirror for too long, hoping to see a thinner you, a younger you, a happier you. But the answer isn’t in the reflection; it’s inside. The mirror has rejected me countless times because it’s how I see myself. We need to start seeing ourselves as God sees us, not how the world sees us. We need to start embracing who we really are – children of God, made in His image, forgiven and loved, sons and daughters of the Most High King!
